About Dr. Rupa Juthani
Dr. Juthani is a fellowship-trained neurosurgeon with unique training in minimally invasive approaches including endoscopic pituitary and skull base surgery, laser surgery, Gamma Knife radiosurgery, and fluorescence guided surgery.
Meet Dr. Juthani
Dr. Juthani has expertise in a wide range of oncologic conditions including pituitary adenomas, skull base tumors, brain metastases, and gliomas.
Dr. Juthani is currently the Director of Endoscopic Pituitary and Skull Base Surgery at Valley Hospital. In addition to her work at The Neurosurgeons of New Jersey, Dr. Juthani is a Diplomate of the American Board of Neurological Surgeons.
She remains actively involved in brain tumor research, having published over 30 peer-reviewed publications and 7 book chapters. She currently focuses her research on clinical trials for glioblastoma and other brain tumors.
Training & Education
Dr. Juthani received her Bachelor of Science degree from Duke University, where she graduated magna cum laude and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. She obtained her M.D. at the University of Virginia School of Medicine. Dr. Juthani completed her residency in neurosurgery at the renowned Cleveland Clinic, and was named chief resident in her final year. Dr. Juthani then completed advanced fellowship training in neurosurgical oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, where she also completed a two-year research fellowship studying nanoparticle-based therapies for glioblastoma and brain metastases.
She has received numerous awards for her work, including the prestigious American Brain Tumor Association Young Investigator Award. She previously worked at Weill Cornell Medicine as an Assistant Professor of Neurological Surgery and as a Visiting Investigator at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Dr. Juthani has been recognized as a SuperDoctor and Rising Star since 2021.
