As the Director of Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery at Columbia University Medical Center/New York Presbyterian Hospital, Dr. Alfred T. Ogden has a wealth of experience with different types of procedures.

Press Ganey, an independent review entity, conducts an annual survey of patient satisfaction across the United States. The 2014 results show that Dr. Ogden’s patients have rated him in the top 10% of the nation’s doctors in areas like courtesy, time spent with patients, concern for their worries, and keeping them updated.

Dr. Ogden is an Assistant Professor of Neurological Surgery and a national leader in minimally invasive spine surgery.

Dr. Ogden’s focus is on minimally invasive surgery for spinal cord tumors. He is also involved in research about the development of new minimally invasive techniques, comparisons of these with traditional methods using computer modeling, and the relationship between stem cells and tumors of the spine.
