The 81st Annual Scientific Meeting of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) was in New Orleans this year and as usual, a large contingency from the Neurosurgeons of New Jersey/Columbia University Medical Center Department of Neurological Surgery were in attendance.  Most of our neurosurgeons were presenting, moderating or directing courses and others were there to soak up the many lectures and seminars.

Neurosurgeons and neuro-interventionalists from across the United States and around the world come to this annual meeting. The clinical diversity and state-of-the-art research that is presenting during this five day event offers an incredible opportunity for our neurosurgeons to share and learn, all with the ultimate goal of providing even better care to their patients.

Envoys from our wide array of specialties went to the meeting and below is a listing of our neurosurgeons, by specialty, who were invited to speak at this year’s meeting:

Pediatrics

Richard C.E. Anderson, M.D., F.A.C.S., F.A.A.P.

Spine

Michael G. Kaiser, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Keep an eye out for more postings about each of our neurosurgeons at the meeting. You can also take a look at the 81st Annual AANS Scientific Meeting Program Guide to learn more.
