Dr. W. Christopher Fox was invited to speak at The Valley Health System Leadership Institute in Ridgewood, New Jersey recently. The Institute gathered leaders from across the Valley System to learn from physicians about the latest in medical procedures available at The Valley Hospital.
Dr. Fox was brought in to talk about the new advances and techniques in neurointerventional and endovascular neurosurgery. These procedures are performed through the blood vessels using high-tech equipment and tiny specialized instruments. They require the skill of uniquely trained surgeons like Dr. Fox as well as sophisticated state-of-the-art equipment available at The Valley Hospital.
“The cutting edge neurointerventional procedures we perform can greatly benefit our patients,” says Dr. Fox. “It’s important to share recent advancements in the field with the hospital community, particularly with those who are in leadership positions.” These leaders can then disseminate this information in ways to best reach those in the community who can most benefit from them.
The Leadership Institute has been effectively training the leaders of Valley Health System for 12 years. In addition to being educational and informative, it is an opportunity for the staff to get to know each other, network and build relationships that will strengthen the care for the patients and the entire Valley community.
The event was well attended and Dr. Fox was pleased to engage The Valley Health System staff. “The positive reactions of the audience, some of whom are learning about these remarkable techniques for the first time, are great to be a part of,” says Dr. Fox.
