Dr. Richard Anderson recently returned from Toronto, Canada where he attended the annual meeting of the *Joint Section on Pediatric Neurosurgery.
He was particularly busy at this year’s three day meeting; he spoke, moderated discussions, chaired meetings, and was elected to a new office.
Dr. Anderson was named member at large to the Section’s executive committee, where he will be taking on a greater leadership role. He has been on their communications subcommittee since 2009 and recently reworked the Pediatric Section’s website.
At the meeting, Dr. Anderson co-moderated the scientific session on spine and trauma. He also co-chaired the Pediatric Craniocervical Society meeting, an organization he helped found in 2007 to bring together clinicians and biomedical engineers dedicated to advancing the care of children with problems at the craniovertebral junction.
