We are pleased to announce that neurosurgeon, William S. Cobb, M.D., Ph.D. has just been promoted to Director of Neurosurgical Oncology at The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, New Jersey.
This promotion is no surprise considering Dr. Cobb’s rigorous background. He got a Ph.D. in Neuroscience before becoming an M.D., and then he completed another eight years of neurosurgical residency to become a neurosurgeon. This history combined with his outstanding clinical skills, organizational ability, and passion for his work make him the perfect candidate.
As Director of Neurosurgical Oncology at The Valley Hospital, Dr. Cobb says:
“Our goal is to provide a multidisciplinary approach that delivers the best neuro-oncologic treatment for brain and spine tumors to obtain the greatest results possible while making the process easiest for patients. This entails coordinating care between multiple departments for treatment and appropriate follow-up as well as providing additional social and support services.”
Dr. Cobb will assist in coordinating patient care among the multidisciplinary teams that provide services to patients at Valley, including the Neurosurgery, Neuro-Oncology and Radiation Oncology departments. In addition, Dr. Cobb will continue to expand the clinical trials program and create new research projects on brain tumors.
Congratulations Dr. Cobb!
