Dr. William Cobb

Our neurosurgeons are committed to serving their patients in the best way possible. They do this, in part, by broadening their clinical skills through collaboration with their colleagues, keeping up on the latest research, and attending expert lectures and seminars.

Just this month, Dr. William S. Cobb and Dr. Gaetan Moise attended a two day Multidisciplinary Spine Tumor Symposium at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City.

“The goal of the course was to provide information about the diagnosis, treatment, pain management, rehabilitation and palliation of patients with primary and metastatic spinal tumors,” said Dr. Cobb. “Surgical, interventional, radiation and pharmacological treatment options were discussed. This interactive program allowed us to discuss cases we have seen and talk about our results with leading experts in the field in the treatment of spinal tumors. We plan to apply this knowledge to our current practice.”

Dr. Cobb has a strong interest in diseases of the brain and spine with a particular focus on neurological oncology. He is interested in the use of stereotactic radiosurgery together with surgical intervention for the treatment of brain and spine tumors. Dr. Cobb also has a strong interest in minimally invasive spine surgery for the treatment of degenerative spine and intervertebral disc disease.

Dr. Moise specializes in cerebrovascular disease including aneurysms and arteriovenous malformations; benign tumors of the brain and spine; degenerative spine disease; intervertebral disc diseasehydrocephalus; and neuro-trauma.
