Dr. W.Christopher Fox, a neurosurgeon based in our Northern New Jersey practice in Ridgewood, was invited to teach at a course for physicians on stroke care in Wayne, New Jersey last week. The class was sponsored by the stroke group at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center, in Paterson.
His talk was on the subject of hemorrhagic stroke, a stroke that is caused by bleeding in the brain. “I discussed evidenced-based diagnosis and management of the various types of hemorrhagic stroke,” says Dr. Fox. This included those caused by aneurysms, blood vessel abnormalities, and increased blood pressure.
Dr. Fox has special fellowship training in endovascular neurosurgery and his subspecialty within neurosurgery includes the treatment of neurovascular disease using both endovascular and traditional surgical methods.
