A substantial part of Dr. Anthony L. D’Ambrosio’s practice is devoted to the treatment of complex brain tumors.
This requires a high level of expertise with state-of-the-art neurosurgical technology, but Dr. D’Ambrosio also believes that it means taking extra time to help patients understand their complicated diagnoses.
That commitment to easing the confusion that can go along with a diagnosis has led to a solid reputation for Dr. D’Ambrosio. The 2014 Press Ganey Patient Satisfaction Survey reflects this. Dr. D’Ambrosio was rated by his patients as being in the top 10% of the nation’s doctors, when it comes to patient satisfaction.
Some of the areas covered by the survey were courtesy, keeping patients updated, caring about their concerns, and how much time the doctor spent with them.
Dr. D’Ambrosio directs the Ridgewood practice, and he is the Director of Neurosurgery and Co-Director of the Gamma Knife Program at the Blumenthal Cancer Center of The Valley Hospital. He has special expertise with techniques such as frameless image guidance systems, awake craniotomy, fluorescein guided tumor resection, and Gamma Knife Radiosurgery.
His areas of focus include the treatment of brain tumors, skull base tumors, meningiomas, acoustic neuromas, pituitary tumors, trigeminal neuralgia, and hemifacial spasm.
Congratulations to Dr. D’Ambrosio for the recognition of his high standard of patient care.
