Our New Jersey affiliate, Dr. William Christopher Fox was invited recently to speak at Mountainside Hospital in Montclair, NJ. The neurosurgeon gave a talk on Minimally Invasive Neurosurgery to a large group of physicians and hospital staff there.
“Neurosurgery is a rapidly evolving field,” says Dr. Fox. “It is important to help educate our community of health care providers about the growth of minimally invasive surgical options, which may lead to benefits for their patients.”
Minimally invasive techniques are available for an ever increasing number of neurosurgical conditions. Benefits to patients include, smaller incisions, less pain, and quicker recovery times.
Though Dr. Fox‘s practice spans a broad array of neurosurgical issues, he has particular expertise in minimally invasive treatment of the brain and spine. He is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Neurosurgery at Columbia University and is based in the Ridgewood office of Columbia Neurosurgery Network — NJ.
